I cannot believe that this is my last week. It is surreal. Woah.....
I Love you Brasil!!
This past week was just awesome! Lots of good stuff and we were stuffed with good food. You might ask what happens when you and your companion both have a birthday in the same week. The answer is this: 6 cakes! We ate 6 cakes! We almost exploded haha. Yikes! But it just shows once again the love and excitement of the Brazilian people! We were feeling the love and the calories haha. Many pictures to follow.
We had divisions with Sister Laws (Provo) and Sister Barbosa (Cape Verde). It was awesome and we had an exciting lesson with Leandro. He called in 5 family members/friends to join in on our message. Which is one of the greatest things ever! It was an awesome lesson and we left super pumped.
We had zone conference which was also awesome. I shared my testimony (as it was my last zone conference) and had the opportunity to give a training. It went well, but I think the person who learned the most was me in preparation to teach it! I had some really neat experiences with the inspirations and promptings of the Holy Ghost this week. I was able to remember things that I never would have been able to remember before on my own. I was prompted to share an experience that was really impactful for me a few years ago with prayer, and when I shared it, the Sprit was so strong and exactly what one person needed to hear. When we listen and act on the promptings of the Holy ghost, we will be instruments in God's hands and be very blessed! It is incredible!
There were so many great things that happened but no time to write it all!
I can't believe how fast time has gone and that it is my last week. I of course am excited for what this week holds and the chance to work every last second. But I am definitely going to miss everything. As I look back on my mission I am amazed at all that has happened, all the things I have learned, all the people that I've met, all the miracles that have happened and most importantly, how much our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us, His children. Through all the ups and downs, twists and turns. He is perfectly aware of us and knows us.
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true and living church here on the earth. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the church in these latter days. He translated the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is a true book! God hears and answers prayers. We have a living prophet who leads and guides us today, President Russell M. Nelson. I know that God provided us with a perfect plan. With a perfect example, our Savior Jesus Christ to pay the price so we can repent and become better every single day, to one day return to Him. I know that families can be together forever. I know that daily scripture study, prayer, and weekly church attendance are some of the small and simple things that will greatly strengthen our testimonies and protect us. I know that God lives. He is our loving Heavenly Father. Jesus is the Christ. This is His Church.
Never have I, or will I regret this past 1 1/2 years that I have been serving as a representative of Jesus Christ. I love this gospel. I love Brasil, the people, everything that i have experienced!
If you are in doubt of anything get on your knees and ask! He hears and answers you.
See you on the flip side and Boa Semana!!
Com Muito amor!
