Note to self: Don't eat the pizza

This week was great except for the part where I got super sick.  I don't know if it was something that I ate or a stomach bug but it wasn't fun.  Lets just say I made MANY trips to the bathroom and had a fever.  But, its all gone and passed now and I am grateful to be back to normal now.  Also, grateful for the awesome members who help us out.

Other Better Stuff:
One guy we are teaching, Jose, was excited to show us what he read in the Book of Mormon.  It was awesome because we didn't expect him to be super interested.  Other not to self: always have more faith!

We have one part of our area thats a bit farther called Cabucu and has giant hills.  Pictures don't do it justice for sure but we laugh a lot looking at what we get to summit to reach someone's house.

We started talking with a guy on the street and after explaining to him about the Book of Mormon he asked, "woah, can you get one for me?" And we said, "of course, this is for you"!  Handing him the book.  The excitement in his eyes was super cool to see, and he almost hugged us before we explained we couldn't. hahaha. Its awesome to see someone so excited about what makes us excited.

Share with someone your excitement this week!

PS Hunter is the cutest Elder ever!!!!

Jacob 4:8 - Awesome Scripture!
"Behold, great and marvelous are the works of the Lord.  How unsearchable are the depths of the mysteries of him; and it is impossible that and should find out all his ways.  And no man knoweth of his ways save it be revealed unto him; wherefore, brethren, despise not the revelations of God."

Pictures don't do these hills justice, that's for sure!

Trabalho

This week was a good work week.  I don't remember very much because it all blurred together.  We talked with tons of people, walked a lot, got just a little bit lost and had some great teaching experiences.

The weather keeps changing from chilly and overcloud to blazing hot and sunny.  Sao Paulo for ya! We've also mad a few trips to  the doctors office as my companion is a little sick.  But, we make the best of it and keep on working!

One of my favorite feelings at the end of the day is exhausted and dead from working super hard, knowing that despite the challenges we've done all we could.

And we not officially have 2 missionaries in the Jeppson family! Good luck Hunter!! (Elder Jeppson). Even though we won't see each other for 3 1/2 years. I know its for the best cause I love ya bro!  Go get em out there in the Marshall Islands!

Everyone hug your parents and siblings today and tell them you love them! Family is the BEST!

Boa semana! Amo Voces!

Batismo do Anselmo

Olá!! This week was another great one that few by with a lot of sweat, smiles, rejections, laughs, and tears.

Anselmo got baptized!  It was awesome.  He is such an awesome person, and I have seen just in my short time here how much he has changed.  Because he can't walk or stand yet because of his broken leg, 2 people had to help him and we put a giant trash bag on his leg to keep his cast dry haha.  He is a crack-up.

2 times in one day we contacted 2 people whose address didn't exist when we tried to find them but both of those times we knocked on the nearest doors to ask and it turned out to be the people we were looking for!  One of them, Andresa, is amazing! She let us in and explained how she got interested by watching videos.  She was honored to receive a Book of Mormon and had a lot of great questions.  It is so excited to teach people who are excited to learn!

I almost exploded a few times from having to eat a ton haha!

We had a training at the mission office and I saw Sister Knudsen, Sister Tatlow, and Sister Florentino again!  Good Stuff!

We said goodbye to Sister Ashcraft!  She is leaving to go home and finished her mission! Crazy stuff. So now we are back to a duple.

Make Someone smile today!
Boa Semana!

Jardim Bela Vista

Olá Pessoal!

This week was a good first week in my new area.  I'm in a trio with Sister Ashcraft (from Utah) and Sister Conceição (from Belo Horizonte, Brazil).  Sister Ashcraft finishers her mission next week and then I will be with Sister Conceição.  They are both great! We laugh a lot and work well together.  This week was a week where I was getting to know the area and members.  Both are awesome and the people are super friendly and excited.

We are teaching a man, Anselmo, who is awesome.  He got hit by a car about 3 months ago and is in a wheel chair.  He has a great attitude about life still even with his recovery.  It was hilarious one day because I pushed him in his wheelchair fro him to buy his medicine.  Just imagine pushing a big Huy in a half-broken wheelchair (where one wheel comes off if you are not careful) down a road with tons of pot holes and roadwork hahahaha  Workout! He is great!

A Bittersweet Goodbye

Well this week was my last week in Campos Do Jordao!  I will be transferred to a new area called Jardin Bela vista in Guarulhos.

Man, when I found out yesterday morning it was pretty sad.  I had to say goodbye to all the wonderful amazing people here and the beautiful town of Campos.  It is definitely sad to leave after my time here but, its a part of the mission!

Yesterday we had 60 people at church dn it made my day seeing everyone there and how much it has grown.  I LOVE CAMPOS!!

This week we got ahold of Reginaldo again!  He moved and doesn't have a cell phone and has been working a lot.  But we were able to teach him a lot this week with Irma Terezinha.

It is great and amazing to see the changes he is making.  He is dedicated and wants to follow Christ.  He is stopping to smoke and has a lot of faith because he has smoked for 27 years.  One of my favorite things about my mission is seeing the changes that the gospel of Jesus Christ makes in the lives of everyone who accepts it!

Luis has been introduction all his friends to us and giving them the Book of Mormon. He is the best and and amazing member missionary!

Sister Enout visited!!  Wwe were at a members house for lunch when she walked in and surprise us.  It was the BEST.  She worked with us that afternoon and left after church on Sunday.  Of course, everyone was super happy to see her again.  Me above all!!  Sisters forever!!  :)

More news to come next week!
