Só a vida boa

This week was good stuff.

During our contacting this week we asked a ton of different, creative questions to get people thinking and then respond answering the with the Book of Mormon.  It was neat because every question can truly answer their questions.  I love it!!

We went to the mission home on Friday because I had a training with the other Sister training leaders.  It was awesome because I got to see Sister Knudson, Sister Tatlow and Sister Jenson again!  It's so fun to see up with all the other missionaries after a while.  Such amazing people.

Sister Matig-a and I gave talks on Sunday which turned out pretty well.

We ate pizza 2 times this week! #bestmembers

I had a few moments this week where one, I felt a little pang of sadness that I don't have much time left.  But the other was of pure happiness with everything!  I am so grateful to e where I am doing what I am doing!  It's the best thing.

Go and read Elder Neal A. Anderson's talk "The Eye of Faith" Super good!  May we all develop how to have eyes of faith.

Boa Semana!

The Final Transfer

It's my last transfer and I think I am in denial.  My mind isn't wrapped around the fact that I have little time left on my mission.  It's not real to me. Crazy!!

But on the bright side of things, Jane got baptized!!! Wow, it has been so awesome with her this past week.  Everyday her countenance grows brighter and she has a big smile on her face, always commenting how happy she was and excited for her baptism.  She has a sweet testimony, especially about the Book of Mormon and that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers.  How amazing it is to see her life and attitude/perspective change for the better as she embraces the gospel in her life.  The day of her baptism I think she said she was so happy more than 20 times.  The Spirit was so strong! The members have been so awesome as well and its like she has known them for years!  She even said a prayer for the whole class yesterday at church.  She is the best! :)

Sister Matig-a and I will continue to be companions here in Jardim Bela Vista so we are pumped!

We went to the part of our area thats super far away 3 times this week, so of course we got an even better workout all day from climbing the mountains there haha.

One day this week we probably ate one full cake each from how many people gave it to us haha.  Never in my life have I eaten so much cake!

The cockroaches are returning because of the heat...so it's pretty normal during a lesson when you have to stop, the person kills the cockroach picks it up and throws it out, then starts the lesson again.  Yep haha normal.

Everyone go give Alma 5 a read.  It's awesome!

Boa Semana!

Melting

Going off of what my awesome Brother Elder Jeppson said...the longest you go before you start sweating is about 8 seconds hahaha.  I testify to that! I am melting it's so HOT.

This week was awesome! Jane is the highlight for sure.  She tells us how much she feels the Spirit when she attends church, reads the Book of Mormon and prays.  She told us last night that she wants to get baptized this week, earlier than before! Man, the Spirit is so strong overtime we meet with her and the best is when she gets that giant smile of hers on her face when she gets excited.  She says all the time "I am so happy! "I feel so good!"  The happiness felt through the gospel of Jesus Christ is the BEST kind of happiness!

We did a lot of finding this week and through it all we met a ton of cool people and of course had some hilarious/crazy reactions and rejections.  I think one of my favorite things is meeting the diversity here.  Really can't remember a ton but her are some random other things of the week:

- a dog ate my backpack...that wasn't very cool.

-We have been sharing family history with more people and its awesome to see how they get excited about their families!

-Acai is a good solution in the heat and many more things that I can't remember haha whoops. But it was great!

I love my mission, my Savior, the people, the gospel, and I don't want it to end!!

Conferência Geral

Olá!

I am hoping everyones been uplifted and edified by this past general conference! I know I sure am!  It was amazing.  I am so grateful for our living prophet, President Nelson, and 12 apostles and church leaders who receive inspiration and revelation for us in our days.  If there is one thing that stands out its that.
Revelation continues in the church! Here are also some of my other favorite topics/things said:

- trust in the Lord, consistently and resiliently.
-Be more faith"ful" and not faith "less"
- Seek the will of the Father and ACT
-Fix our attention on Christ-He is the center
-Give your all-don't hold back.  Don't do anything half-heartedly.
- The Gospel is JOY
-Read the Book of Mormon and repent daily!
- Don't let anyone take away your happiness.

There is so much more great things said, so how lucky are we to be able to go back and study them:

- Jane, Rose and Rosa all watched the conference and liked it.  Jane stayed for both sessions yesterday and asked a lot of questions.  She enjoyed it a lot.  She is the sweetest!

The members here are awesome and helping us out a ton, seeing that we are working super hard.  Missionary work goes so much smoother and easier when its members and missionaries work together!

We had an awesome zone conference as well this week, and after I succeed in lugging a giant box of Book of Mormons by hand by bus and walking hahahaha.  Luckily, a sister helped us out after.

I love this work and I love this gospel! Serve someone today!
