Ramo Campos do Jordão

We are now officially a Branch!!! Campos do Jordão Branch!

We had ward conference yesterday and went down to Pinda for the last time woo woo!  President and Sister Miller were there along with the Stake President to announce it!  It was so special and the spirit was incredibly strong.  It makes me so happy to have seen the growth of Campos since I have been serving here and to finally be made a branch!  I think we were some of the happiest people on earth yesterday!  The Lord's work is always growing! I love it!

Other things:
We had divisions with Sister Costa and Sister Amorim.  It was great and we had a cool experience.  After getting rejected about 20 times or more we said a prayer to find at least one person who would accept us and our message on one street we hadn't gone on yet.  After a few more rejections one sweet women let us in and was awesome.  Turns out she has a sister who has been a member of the church for about 8 years but lives in a different state.  She has been interested before and was excited to meet us and now have an opportunity to learn more.  God answers our prayers!

We also helped out at a ward's festa Julina which is a bit like a harvest festival but in June and July.  Super fun stuff.

And lastly, We ARE a Branch!!  Woohoo!!

Boa Semana!

Singing in the Rain

This week we got hit by a few days of unexpected rain or more like downpour haha.  And it was during a division that Sister Tatlow and I were doing in Sao Jose, and during our travel to Sao Paulo for leadership counsel.  So let's just say it was the least prepared I've ever ben for rain her in Brazil.  We were completely soaked as well as all of our bags, clothes etc haha.

Life tip in Brazil: Always carry an umbrella with you, if not... Já era kkk

Also, ya know how in movies when a giant bus hits a puddle on the road and it splashes and soaks the person on the sidewalk?  That was us about 4 times hahah.  Ah, I love the mission.

Besides the rain, a few other things that happened this week include:

I got locked in the Sisters bathroom for about 10 minutes haha... they forgot to tell me that the lock is broken.  Don't worry, I used my best fireman skills to get free.

Campos decided to drop again in the weather so its actually freezing here.  Yet another great experience was using my open toed shoes because my other ones were soaked...I don't recommend it.

Leadership counsel was awesome.  We are making a few changes with our mission that are great and exciting to help grow the work here even more.

Joao Henrique is awesome, and loving the stories of the Book of Mormon.  He is great friends with Luiz, who is helping him out a lot as well.

And unfortunately, the parents of Duda, Lucas, and Pedro did not let them get baptized this week.  the day after they gave he ok and signed the paper giving authorization, they said they didn't want it yet, but to wait more time.  Man, iw was sad and sad to see Duda, Lucas, and Pedro sad.  They want to get baptized, but need to wait until their parents say yes, so we will continue to work with them with patience.

With all the ups and downs and craziness, I am very grateful and happy to be where I am doing what I am doing.  the best work is the Lords' work!!

Make someone smile today!

Feliz!!

This week was yet another great, busy week!  I can't remember much but here is a few highlights:

We are teaching Joao Henrique, and he is awesome.  It is neat to teach him because he understands and remembers really well and asks great questions.

He came to church the first time on Sunday and is already friends with Luis!

Sister Tatlow and I had divisions with Sister Lira and Sister Lima in Taubate.  It went well, and was great to work with them.

Lucas, Pedro and Duda are amazing and excited for their baptism this week.  Today for P-day we ran a bit (wahoo... oh how I miss running) and met up with Duda and Pedro and took a bunch of pictures in a cool park.

And I can't remember anything else haha. Sorry to make it short but I love the mission, the people and the gospel.  Everything!!!

Boa Semana!!
